Very pleased to see Krispy Kreme bring out a Father’s day box of donuts this year. Unfortunately they weren’t mine ’Sob sob’ . However, I did manage to get a couple of bites in of each. Here’s what was in the box.
Krispy Kreme - Limited Edition Father's Day Box 2021
”Happy Father’s Day!”
In this box there is a Lotus Biscoff, a Sprinkled With Magic and a Chocolate Dreamcake.
LOTUS BISCOFF
This donut is a popular filled donut. It is filled with Lotus Biscoff kreme, iced with Lotus Biscoff spread and topped off with Lotus Biscoff crumb and some white chocolate shavings. If you love those little caramelised biscuits you get with your coffee, then you will love this.
Sprinkled With Magic
This is Krispy Kreme’s Original Glazed donut that has chocolate icing on top and is covered in tiny fudge cubes, milk and white chocolate mini crispy pieces and chocolate stars. Definitely a star donut. Very tasty and not overly sweet.
Chocolate Dreamcake
This is another filled donut. It is filled with a rich deep chocolate brownie batter and the donut has chocolate icing on top with a white chocolate pattern and some tiny Julienne pieces of milk chocolate. A chocoholics dream in a donut.
I do find when it comes to Father’s Day donuts, Krispy Kreme always keep the theme around chocolate and never anything fruity. Why? I don’t know but it seems a bit sexist if you ask me. Father’s Day Donuts can be as fun and as fruity as you want them to be, not necessarily having to stick to chocolate because that to me says not much thought has gone in. Even though the bites I had were yummy.
