Sometimes new murals seem to be popping up everywhere around me. Other times I wonder what happened to all those talented muralists, and where they may be painting their newest art. The Casa Picnic is an exception to this, but unfortunately it has also become an exception in my own mural collection, since they are pulling into a blatantly commercial direction. So much so, that the regularly changing mural on their huge wall is becoming each time a bit more like an advertisement. And sorry, I'm not going to add to the already overmarketed campaign of a famous auto maker (unless they can guarantee me a sufficient amount in HIVE upvotes... now THERE'S an idea)!

But back to the mural on the Casa Picnic. I have used its wall paintings a couple of times (here and here, and as you can see, both are quite commercial already), for my Mexican Murals series, which I usually also use as my entry to CCC's Street Art Contest. This time it's the 79th edition, by the way! So I thought, why not do it again? Since this time the mural turned out to be quite impressive, without being too much like an add. Or at least, it's advertising a travel destination, which is not like some manufactured product.

Visit the Seahorse of Puerto Vallarta!

This time the image on this very visible wall is of a giant seahorse, beautifully stylized with lots of colors and geometric shapes. Quite obviously, it draws our attention to the famous port city on the Pacific coast, in the state of Jalisco: Puerto Vallarta. I have never been in that region myself, though now that I'm thinking ... Isn't that where Hive Fest 2022 is supposed to be? In any case, visiting that area as a Crypto-head, but especially as a Hive bogger, you shouldn't miss out on checking out Ozzie's Bar and Grill, operated by fellow Hivean @intothewild . It's located in the town Bucerias a bit north of Vallarta, and I'm certain he will be happy to host you, let you pay for your order in cryptos, and like most of us Hivers, be stoked about connecting with folks from the blockchain in real life.

As for seahorses... I'm not so sure. In the ocean, I guess. Though on the wall of the Casa Picnic it looks pretty spectacular. As it should! After all, it obviously moved some money around, which is good. Good for the Casa Picnic, and good for the artist, whose identity is made abundantly clear at the bottom of the image: It's no one less than Adry Balbo. It's worth checking out her other works too, as they all are equally colorful and a pleasure to behold.
