Through Her Hands

Her small and fragile appearance deceived those who observed her for the first time, because she was not weak and had an iron will and strength. Her face had delicate features, a sweetness like honey, and her large eyes had a look that seemed to pierce objects and see beyond what the senses could grasp. Her hands were small, but with long, slender fingers, very suitable for drawing, like brushes, the lines that her mind drew. - @popurri

But, it was the subject of the painting that was so arresting. She was painting cats, cats with soulful shining eyes, cats! So many different and exquisite cats and, oh my, I simply adore cats. The thing is, that they weren’t just ordinary cats either, they were so special; no purebred Siamese for my new found female Picasso, no, these were cats of mixed features, tails that curled over their backs and spiky ears that stood alert as if they were listening to the footfall on the sidewalk they adorned. It was fantastical, weird, but so perfect. -@itsostylish

The Blind Artist

During my entire stay in Leipzig, I spent my days shuttling from the hotel I stayed in to the Schneider's place. It was there that I continued engaging myself with Louis and his eccentric lifestyle. Louis spent most of his time in the basement which was where he painted his masterpieces and only ever left the room if there was a visitor upstairs or if he had to take his wife, Beatriz for their nightly walk. -@zeraton

Today's lesson it seemed was about adding in dense forests on the one side and open savannah on the other, both overlooking the shoreline that met the sea in the foamy tumult of its rollicking waves. He gazed up into his father's face, the wisdom of his seemingly infinite years engrained in the many small creases accentuating his twinkling eyes and gentle mouth that curved upwards at the edges in a state of seemingly perpetual happiness. This was truly how he experienced his father, and he loved him with all of his heart. -@samsmith1971

Fogo is the closest to the Red Star and is the dwelling place of the fiery ones. I have never visited Fogo but I could see Shapkta’s eyes glow with excitement as he told me about the fiery ones. Big beautiful fiery creatures one could only see through the rune communicator. Their’s was the hottest realm and to venture there was impossible. The fiery ones were a reclusive bunch only sending one delegate to talk to the council through the rune communicator. -@piratethanos

Pingo looked at the idol. A supernatural melodious voice said, “My creator, my master!” Pingo noticed the idol stepping down from the pedestal and bowing to him. Pingo was shivering with excitement. “What if his imagination had come true and the most beautiful woman in the world was standing in front of him alive, and she was his... entirely?” -@rayt2

Family or Paintings?

I exhaled and drowned out the boys' protests. Then I caught sight of a middle-aged man, about fifty or so, seated in a corner where the lights were dim, nursing a glass of bourbon. He had been staring at me all the while. I stared back for a long moment, hoping his gaze would falter. It did not. There was…certainty in his eyes. -@kemmyb
