I had the pleasure of getting a box of Krispy Kreme donuts and I chose their new Ice Cream inspired donuts. Yesterday I told you about the Raspberry Ripple and today I am going to tell you about the Mint Choc Chip.
Krispy Kreme Ice Cream Collection - Mint Choc Chip

I was looking forward to try this Mint Choc Chip donut. It’s been quite a long time since there has been a chocolate and mint flavoured donut on the menu. I loved the look of this donut with it’s green icing and chocolate mint nibs and the chocolate drizzle. However, that’s all that was good about this donut. It did have a lot of filling in it and it was chocolate mint flavoured, but as soon as I took my first bite, the only flavour I got was chocolate mint mud! It really tasted quite earthy, like the donut was made with a pinch of dirt. It was horrible! I asked my husband to take a bite and he said the same thing. Very disappointing Krispy Kreme.
I’ve had a couple of choc mint flavoured donuts demo Krispy Kreme over many years and they were much better than this one. The Mint Choc Chip didn’t taste anywhere near a choc mint ice cream. Really wasn’t pleasant to eat at all. I won’t be getting another one of those, that’s for sure!
Have had better flavoured toothpaste than this donut.
