Krispy Skremes Halloween 2021 - Vampire Bat

This is a new donut from Krispy Kreme. I haven't seen this one for Halloween before. It's Krispy Kreme's Original Glazed Ring that has cookie kreme frosting piped on top with a fondant bat. The donut was light, fluffy and sweet. I did find it difficult to hold as then I did hold it, my thumb went through the middle of the hole and pushed onto the fondant bat that in turn made the donut slide down my thumb! I don't think that was Krispy Kreme's fault though. That was me either being too gentle or too eager or a bit of both to taste this donut. The cookie creme on top was just right. I could taste the cookie bits in the smooth Kreme frosting which was a lovely biscuity flavour that went so nicely with the donut. The textures went well together too. It was like having the filling on the inside that was actually on the outside. The fondant bat looked lovely too. Such a cute picture for a vampire bat. The fondant was flat and it made such a nice touch which on first instant looked like quite a boring donut.
I thought this donut would be my least favourite when I saw them advertised. I thought... 'Oh, not another ring!" When in fact, this donut surprised me so much, I almost fell out of my skin! A very delicious donut all round. It wasn't heavy either. I reckon I could easily finish off 6 in a row! Devilishly Delightful!
