THE BOOK OF SOULS

Jacob hurriedly wrapped up the book and sneaked past the back area away from any suspecting eye, he was going to take it home and nothing was about to stop him, he hoped to uncover the mysteries of this book safely in his room without any disturbance.
After Jacob got home, he couldn't wait to open this book and read the contents, he got settled on his chair and began reading where he stopped, he took a deep breath, bracing himself for that same benevolent voice.- @abmakko

One More Garden

Baobant whinnied at one extreme of the garden. His restlessness denoted that something unusual was about to happen. Then it was when, raising his lance to the sky, Count Charles faintly uttered a phrase, whether it was in Italian, Latin or Hebrew, we do not know. And, as if by magic, vines sprang from some corner of the garden, heading straight for the legs of Count Riszam's horse. No matter how hard he struggled, the horse could not get rid of this unexpected binding.
The audience, which until recently had been mute, now screamed like mad at such an event, which, in fact, did not stop there. After seizing his adversary's horse, Count Charles strangely moved his lance again and many of the plants lying in the garden went to attack Count Riszam, including some giant carnivorous plants of the species Dionaea muscipula, which no one in Millow had ever seen before. - @gabmr

The Hyena's Invasion

"Ten men can't fight their way through, maybe we should take the route through the river" the youngest among the suggested, "we just have to risk it, it's better to drown than being eaten by the hyenas".
They sat on the log of wood that was designed by Alfred, an old man among them skilled in making craft. They were going to a land they've never seen, a land that couldn't tell of its present circumstances, they only hoped that it could be just as Alfred had told them, but who knows if the hyenas lived there too? Or if it never existed? They only hope it does as they sit still on the craft as they peddle it.- @dwixer

Although feeling conflicted, rationality ultimately prevailed, and Lloyd chose to turn his boat around. However, as fate would have it, escaping the storm proved impossible. And his boat was hit by large waves after large waves late into the night. But despite his best effort, Lloyd was no match for Mother Nature and his boat capsized after being hit by a monstrous wave. After that, there was only darkness…

Nights At Danro's Cave

image.png

Source

And the nights are very noisy. Owls’ screeches and snakes’ sizzles and crickets’ swishes. Danro stares through the ajar space, looking at utter darkness. The twelve animal friends of his are in deep slumber, and he envies how their faces show—peace. The fire he earlier made is dying rapidly. Soon the darkness that is prowling at the gate will consume the cave. And he hates that his eyelids are tittering to remain apart. - @davidbrigh

Mona

"Mona fell to the floor and writhed as if in a turbulent sea.
Clip after clip were projected onto the clothes, and Mona’s shadow flickered in the digital morass. Her frenzied contortions reached a crescendo with the music, and when she began to moan, Joey stood up and said,
“Enough!”
Mona lay panting on the floor. - @litguru
