This is a tale, told by an idiot

She dropped the phone and, as if in slow motion, the phone began its descent. It slowly arched backwards as the weight of the corded end sought to balance out the drop. The lifeless cord seemed to hang in the air and it didn’t seem to notice that it was about to be pulled to the ground. The receiver continued to turn, and by now, it was gathering momentum. It didn’t seem to want to stop, and would only be satisfied with a loud thud against the old pine floorboards. As the phone smacked the ground, it seemed to grasp at safety, as it bounced once, and then again, before settling onto its side – the dial tone missing, and once stilled of its ordeal, offered only silence.- @lordtimoty

Shades of Indecision

She waited for the sky to give her its cue. Then, reluctantly, she folded herself away from her perch and headed down to the beach. The wind was almost gale force on the open sand and she turned into its blinding whip, forcing herself to push against it and make her way. Then she thought she heard a scream, she turned facing the direction of the sound, but saw nothing of note. She raised her eyes to the shifting dune above the beach. A tiny beach cottage was on fire, the raging wind fanning the flames to run rampant even as she watched. - @itsostylish

Shadows of Life in the world

The trip to grandma's house was very pleasant. Although the road is not as smooth as the streets in the city, but my eyes are always spoiled by the nature around. The vast expanse of tea gardens with so many workers busy picking, the sound of birds from the hills replying to one another, the people are friendly, the mountains are still manicured green without ulcers from felling trees, the forest that looks peaceful every morning gives a nice air. freshen the chest.- @bettyhandayani

Spring begins, the cherry blossoms are in bloom. The entire residence is decorated with beautiful and fragrant jasmine, rose and lavender flowers. Those that Violeta likes so much because they remind her of the beautiful moments she spent with her grandfather Ernst, touring the vineyard and the cellars he founded and that they still keep. Meanwhile, her mother, Mariana, travels back in time to her native Germany.- @katleya

Journey without return

AThe day happened as it was supposed to, Margot was at her meeting, she did her job, she left with the slightest enthusiasm, but she was determined to finish her work as usual. This time she didn't go to lunch, to get ahead of her work, because she was determined not to stay even a minute past her departure time, even if her project warranted it. Just she could think of was the moment to leave, because she could no longer stand the stares of her colleagues on the back of her neck, on her back, on her chest, on her cheeks. - @marbrym

The Space Between

My jaw drops. I have no words. Nobody knows who I am. But here is this person, this stranger to me, calling me by my name. What does it mean? How does he know who I am? Who has sent him? My mind is racing... so many questions. Despite my confusion, for the first time in my life, I no longer want to be hiding in the shadows. I am tired of waiting. Tired of the voices within me engaged in a tug of war with my soul, merely existing in what is left of our world, and I know at that moment that it is finally safe to come out of the dark; to put my faith in this stranger who feels so very familiar to me. - @samsmith1971
